Collection: The 8th Fida Excellence in Fashion, Art + Illustration Awards 2023

 

Winners will receive over £20,000 worth of prizes:

There are 8 award categories this year, seeking excellence in each field.

The 8 award winners, will receive over £20,000 worth of prizes.

The 8 category award winners will each receive prizes worth over £2000:

• 1 year of Exclusive Fida Membership (worth £495)
• A feature in Fible 4 (worth £850)
• 5 images in the Excellence Awards Virtual Exhibition (worth £500)
• 5 images in the Excellence Awards Exhibition e-book (worth £340)

One artist will go ahead to be named the Overall Winner and will receive the following additional prizes, worth over 

 

£2500:

• Fida Gallery Solo Show (worth £1350)
• Double Page Spread in the Fible - 4 artists' pages (worth £1200)

These awards will be judged on the following:

Originality, style, mood, composition and design. The work can be commissioned, published, unpublished or a personal project. 

 

 

You can use any of the following mixed media techniques and materials: pencil drawing, colour pencil, pen & ink, markers, rubbing, painting (watercolour/acrylic/oil etc), canvas, paper, printmaking, screen printing, litho, etching, photo collage, spray, relief, computer/tablet/laptop, photocopier, scanner, and more.

If applying for the student award, applications must have Student ID attached to entries.

Artwork can be any dimensions, but maximum file size you can send is 5 MB.

Fida will notify successful artists on the following dates:

• Long listed artists will be announced on www.fidamembersclub.com 10.11.2023 1pm US EST
• Short listed artists will be announced on www.fidamembersclub.com 17.11.2023 1pm US EST
• Winners will be announced live on 24.11.23

 

 

• Winning artists and Commendations announced on www.fidamembersclub.com 25.11.2023 5pm US EST

 

 

Award entries are non-refundable. If work is not submitted, or submitted after the deadline, it will not be put in for consideration, or refunded. 

The application and notification process for the awards are as follows:

• Once you have purchased an entry into the awards, you will be sent instructions explaining how to format and send images.

• Once Fida receives your images, you will be emailed, to confirm receipt.

• In order that all artists can be notified at the same time, both the Longlist and Shortlist will initially be announced on the Fida website: www.fidamembersclub.com. Dates and times will be provided on the website and instagram, once agreed.

• The Longlist and Shortlist will also, at a later date, be announced on Fida worldwide’s Instagram account.

• The finalists and winners will be announced during a virtual event. Dates and times of the live announcement will be provided on Instagram once agreed, so please make sure you follow us to receive this information (@fidaworldwide). 

• Winners and finalists will also be added to the websitewww.fidamembersclub.com, in due course, after the Live announcement.

• You will NOT be emailed individually with results. If your name is not shown on the website, unfortunately it means that you have NOT been selected on this occasion.

• Due to the number of entries we receive, and the fact that we secure industry professionals to judge our awards, it is not possible to give individual feedback to each applicant.
