Les Cinq Couleurs à Paris - Olympics Exhibition

Join Fida in an exhibition in Paris to celebrate the 2024 Olympics

Artists are invited to exhibit their work in Paris, where the Olympics are being held, with the theme of the '5 Colours of Paris', hosted at Istituto Marangoni Paris: 3.9.2024 - 13.9.2024

You can exhibit one or multiple pieces in the same or different sizes. Your work will be printed and delivered for you.

Brief: To create artwork in celebration of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The Olympic rings are the most recognisable symbol of the Olympics, with each of the 5 colours representing one of the 5 inhabited continents of the world.

Your artwork should celebrate the Olympics in Paris, using one or more of the 5 colours of the Olympic rings as your inspiration: yellow, red, green, blue and black.

The work needs to be inspired by Paris and the Olympics. Artwork can be sports related but does not have to be.

Just as the Olympics brings athletes from around the world, we invite artists from around the globe to showcase their work and take part in this exhibition.

There is a limited number of spaces in the exhibition, so allocations will be made on a first come, first served basis.

If you would like to showcase your work in Paris, sign up now.

You can attend the exhibition in Paris at anytime during the opening hours and are invited to the private view on the evening of 3rd September 2024.

All work in the exhibition will be included in a digital catalogue, and the exhibition works will be photographed and shared with you, so you may showcase them on your social media, websites, etc.

You will only need to supply digital images and the work will be printed, mounted, delivered, hung and curated for you.

Whatever size you choose to exhibit, work will be Giclee printed, on fine art paper and mounted on museum board.

Deadline to book your place: 16th August 2024

Deadline to submit your work: 19th August 2024

Exhibition dates: 3rd September 2024 - 13th September 2024

If you would like to exhibit more than one image, please just add the appropriate number of images, in each size, to your basket. You can select to exhibit different sizes (just specify which size each image should be, when submitting them via email).

Once you have booked your space, you will receive instructions about how to format and send your images.

Fida Members can get an additional 20% off with their member’s discount (find out about Fida Membership here).

All prices include printing and delivery of your artwork to the exhibition in Paris.

Who can exhibit at the show?

Any type of artist can enter: illustrators, painters, digital artists, 3D digital artists, designers, etc.

What is included in the price?

Your work will be printed, mounted, delivered, hung and curated for you in the 5 colours of Paris Exhibition. Your work will also be included in the '5 colours of Paris' Digital Catalogue. You will receive photographs of your work in situ at the exhibition and a copy of the catalogue for your records, to share on social media.

Why should I take part?

Taking part in this exhibition will give you an opportunity to have your work seen, while Paris is busy with visitors, during the Olympics. Istituto Marangoni will also be holding their Open Day during the exhibition dates (13th September 2024), so there will be plenty of opportunities for people to see your art.
Exhibitions are a chance to connect with and grow your audience. The exhibition will be promoted on all Fida Worldwide social media accounts and websites.

Your contact details will be displayed so buyers can contact you directly.

If I wait until the 16th of August to book a space can you guarantee there will be a space for me?

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that there will be spaces as places are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

What is the last day for signing up?

Deadline to book your place: 16th August 2024

What is the last day for submitting work?

Deadline to submit your work: 19th August 2024

What are the dates of the exhibition in Paris?

Exhibition dates: 3rd September 2024 - 13th September 2024

Where is the exhibition being held?

Istituto Marangoni Paris is hosting the exhibition.

I don’t have any work ready yet, can I still book a space?

Yes, you can book your space now and you have until the 19th August 2024, to submit your work.

Can I see the exhibition?

All artists are welcome to attend the show times between 10am - 6pm on weekdays, for the duration of the exhibition, and on the Istituto Marangoni Open day which is being held on Saturday 7th September (times to be confirmed nearer the time). Artists do not need to attend the show as work will be hung and taken down for you.

What if I cannot attend the exhibition, can I still sign up?

Yes, anyone can enter. Artwork must be submitted by email so you can enter from anywhere in the world.

All artwork will be photographed in situ, and artists will receive the photos for their records to share on social media/websites.

Can I send my own originals or prints?

No, your work will be printed, delivered, hung and curated for you, so you just need to submit images, via email and we will take care of the rest.

In our experience, it has been expensive and stressful for artists to print/send their work for exhibitions - due to having to arrange artwork to arrive on a specific date and difficulty finding a company that will collect and re-package your work at the end of the exhibition (within the days and times specified by the venue).

Can I sell my work?

Your contact details will be included with your work, so any interested party can contact you directly, meaning any sales are 100% yours. Fida will take 0% commission. If you want to sell the promotional print at the exhibition, the buyer can collect it from Marangoni Paris, on Friday 13th September. It must be collected on that date, otherwise you will have to arrange to print and/or send the work directly from your home/work address.

Will my work be returned to me after the event?

The exhibited works will be promotional prints. You will be able to collect your artwork on Friday 13th September, between 10am - 4pm if you want to. You can arrange for someone to collect and pack your print(s) on that day, but you must notify us of this in advance, or work will not be released. Any work not collected by 4pm on Friday 13th September 2024 will be disposed of.

Exhibition entries are non-refundable. If work is not submitted, or submitted after the deadline, it may not be printed, exhibited, or refunded.
