There’s a particular energy to London Fashion Week — the tension backstage, the rhythm of models moving through space, the fleeting moments that never quite repeat. FIDA LIVE is built around that energy, inviting fashion illustrators to step into it and take part.
Taking place during London Fashion Week, February 2026, FIDA LIVE places fashion illustration at the centre of the action. Through live runway drawing, curated exhibition opportunities and online learning, illustrators are invited to observe, respond and create in real time — experiencing fashion from every angle as it unfolds. Participants can choose how they join in: on the ground in London, drawing live, or digitally through the exhibition and online course, from anywhere in the world.
FIDA LIVE is not positioned as a spectacle, but as a working experience — one that values observation, presence and the act of drawing in the moment. It brings illustrators into direct contact with fashion as it happens, rather than after the fact.
Inside the Moment
In February 2026, selected FIDA LIVE artists will be embedded within Fashion Scout at Protein Studios, sketching live from both the runway and backstage. With access to multiple shows each day, illustrators work quickly — responding to movement, fabric and atmosphere — capturing fashion not as a static image, but as an event.
This live-drawing experience is open to illustrators who want to work fast, sharpen their instincts and build confidence drawing under real Fashion Week conditions. Places are limited, with sign-up required to secure participation.
Illustration on Display
Alongside the live drawing experience, FIDA LIVE offers illustrators the opportunity to exhibit their work during London Fashion Week. Selected artworks are professionally printed and curated for display at Fashion Scout, positioning illustration within the wider fashion conversation rather than on the sidelines.
For participating artists, the exhibition offers visibility within a live Fashion Week environment — seen by designers, press and industry professionals moving through the space. Preparing the Eye and the Hand
Running alongside the live event is the FIDA LIVE Illustration Course — an online programme designed to support illustrators whether or not they attend London Fashion Week in person.
Focused on movement, proportion, fabric and mood, the course equips artists with practical tools for drawing fashion with clarity and confidence. Open to illustrators worldwide, it allows participants to join, learn and prepare at their own pace — making FIDA LIVE accessible from anywhere.
