FIDA Partners with Ungaro Paris for a Bold Print Collection
Share
FIDA (Fashion Illustration and Design Awards) is proud to announce its creative partnership with Ungaro Paris, one of fashion’s most storied maisons, to launch an exciting new print collection. This collaboration highlights the power of illustration and design in shaping the future of fashion, while offering emerging talent a direct pathway into the industry.
As part of the project, FIDA briefed its members to create a series of original print concepts and pitch their work directly to Creative Director Philippe Paubert and Brand Manager Marie Fournier of Ungaro Paris. The brief encouraged designers to explore the maison’s heritage of bold, expressive prints while reimagining them for a contemporary audience.
After a competitive selection process, the Ungaro and FIDA teams chose the work of Kelly Bailey, whose vision stood out for its blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and modern elegance. Bailey went on to design two full seasons of print collections, each bringing a fresh energy to Ungaro’s DNA.
The final collections featured a striking range of floral prints—from graphic, pared-back motifs to ornate, decorative patterns that spoke to Ungaro’s legacy of fearless design. The collaboration proved a great success, reaffirming the maison’s commitment to innovation and artistry while shining a spotlight on the next generation of creative talent.
Through projects like this, FIDA continues to champion illustrators, designers, and fashion creatives worldwide, bridging the gap between artistry and the commercial world of high fashion.
